Continuing Saga....

Well, today was my first day of getting up early and hitting the gym.  My alarm went off at 5am and I was at the gym around 5:45am.  I swam until 6:30, got showered, dressed and ready for the day.  I can feel some of the soreness from the swim starting to creep in, but otherwise, I'm feeling good.  The blood flow starting so early is going to have me raring to go this morning for my class.

I'm going to give this a continuing try over the next few days.  This might be the time slot and habit I need to get into to get to the gym as often as I can to get myself going.

On other fronts, I've been working in the yard the last two nights.  I have made some significant progress.  I have a long long ways to go, but each day is bringing me one step closer to getting a yard that I am not actually embarrased to sit in and use.  Also keeps the dog shit at a fair minimum (or at least it will) if I can continue to get out there and pick it up and rake daily.  I'm just going to continue doing this each day.  Little by little it will get done.

Yardwork and gym on a daily basis.  Will it work.  I know that it will.  I just don't have to beat myself up over missing a day and giving up on the whole thing.  Adjustments need to be made and things will work out the way they are supposed to.

On yet another front.  I'm taking a Windows Azure development class.  Fuck this guy who is teaching it seems to not know what the fuck he is doing.  The demo's he's doing aren't the prettiest thing and it's like he's going through the class without having to review the course material.  I have no doubt that he knows what he is doing.  But teaching it isn't going well for him this time.  Or at least it's not for me.

Class starts in 12 minutes and I need to get myself logged in and working.  Will catch you all later.

The first step is done, now to continue forward... (Day #2)

Another quick and easy hello out there.  The first day went well in heading to the gym.  I didn't get out into the backyard like I had hoped, but as the weather is getting hotter, it might not be as easy to do that.  I do need to get out there, but I just have to make it early in the morning instead of mid-afternoon.  That's why I think that Saturday is pretty much going to be yard work day.  I'll adjust my schedule as needed.  I've been doing a few things here and there to make life to forward even more. Did Fresh and Easy again today.

Only made 75% of a lap yesterday.  My shoulders were killing me.  So I ended up finishing with breast stroke.  I'll keep at it today for 2 laps.  Either freestyle or breast, as long as I'm in the water and moving forward is what I care about.

I did a good dinner last night and tonight will be another good dinner night.

Back is hurting, so I'm going to be logging off early today.  Hard to sit for too long so it seems.

And away we go.....(Day #1)

Well this is a quick and easy little hello out there to welcome myself to a whole new life and a whole new world.  I'm already starting off well.  I was a bit late getting up this morning, but that's not a big deal.  I adjusted accordingly and am now getting ready to head off to the doctor's office in about 7 minutes.  I shaved the head, trimmed the beard and generally had a good time of it all.  I've made sure that I have my money clip with me (which reminds me.....hold on...okay back - had to go get my insurance card so I don't forget that) so I don't have a repeat of what happened at Fresh and Easy last night (shop, reach for my wallet and what do you know it's not there).  So the plan for this morning is pretty simple.  Dr. V's for my appointment at 9:30, then over the LVAC to pick up my membership card, then over to WalMart to pick up a pair of swim goggles and then over the Fresh and Easy to pick up the makings for dinner tonight (thinking chicken over rice as something simple and easy).  Then home, do some yard work, coding, then back over to LVAC to do one lap.  Then home, read and sleep.  Sounds pretty simple.  Let's hope that it works out that way.

Until later...
